Grandma's Birthday Murder Mystery Party

Mom wanted some special perfume for her birthday.  It turns out no one in the Keokuk/Nauvoo area carried it.  Dad and I drove 1 hour and 10 minutes to the nearest mall the night of the 27th.  I pulled into the parking lot, sprinted through the mall, and raced into the store one minute before closing time.  It was the closest near-miss disaster I've ever had.

The morning of the 28th, I woke up and had to run a 20 miler -- by myself.  It was a LONG morning.  I saw some interesting things along the way:

After my run, I got back home and took the kids to the park so my sisters could work on writing the Murder Mystery.  We met a "standard-sized poodle" during our time there and had a fabulous conversation with his owner.  You never know what's going to happen in a day!

Grandma Joannie's Birthday Bash was a hit.  Everyone was assigned a character and dressed up to fit their part.  The kids ran around the house finding clues to the murder.  It was awesome:  a birthday Mom will never forget!
