The Heber Garden Plot

Everyone has different strengths. I've finally decided to accept the fact that gardening is never going to be one of mine. Two weeks ago, I announced to the kids that we were going to plant our garden. They were a little confused when they saw the small green containers. Who knows? I keep telling them we may end up lucky and get a zucchini or two!!

I loved reading all of your posts, but my favorite one is the tree. I LOVE that you taped leaves onto it. Maybe that will help it grow. :)

Dear Vanessa,

Livingstone may have a solution to your growth problems. He calls it his "Death Valley" technique. In all of our years of marriage he has never watered the lawn, let alone the garden. In our food storage we even have 'dried' water if you can imagine that.

The neighbors have called our little abode the wasteland in the midst of an oasis. Go figure.

Be thankful that you might at least get a little zucchini. Thanks for the update on all the little veggies.

What does dried water look like, Mary? Thanks for being so optimistic about our zucchini! I will share it with you! That is, if you'll give me your address!!
